Our mission is to help military veterans succeed in college and to help veterans services work more efficiently

Uvize provides schools with an innovative software platform that helps their military veterans succeed in college. We partner with universities and colleges to deliver academic orientation and preparation online to incoming veterans. We also build community by connecting students with their future veteran classmates, mentors, and advisors. By building skills before schools starts and fostering community throughout college we help increase the success rate of veterans.

The Strategic Student Veteran

Every college student can succeed academically and obtain a high GPA. The reason so many Veteran college students underperform is because they're not taught how to transition from the structured military environment to the unstructured college academic environment. The Strategic Student teaches Veterans how to make this transition and become more self-reliant. Specific topics include:

  • Demystifying college academics prior to arriving on campus
  • Scheduling time efficiently
  • Utilizing on-campus resources
  • Adopting effective study, test-taking, and classroom skills
  • Managing stress
  • Harnessing technology
Timothy O'Donnell: Brand Ambassador/Uvize Coach
  • A stellar performer in athletics, academics and leadership, Timothy O'Donnell ("T.O.") embodies the discipline, motivation, and strength for which we all strive.

After graduating high school, T.O. received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Maryland. Initially a member of the Varsity Swim Team, he switched his attention fully to triathlon during his junior year, and success in the sport soon followed as T.O. led the Naval Academy Men's Team to two US National Triathlon Championship titles.

  • In May of 2003, T.O. graduated from USNA with Honors and was commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy. He continued his studies at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a Master of Engineering. While at UC Berkeley won multiple events, including the Armed Forces Triathlon Championships. Upon graduation, T.O. received orders to Explosive Ordinance Disposal Group One in San Diego, while continuing to reign supreme at the Armed Forces Championships with six consecutive victories.

T.O. decided to transition from the Navy and focus completely on Triathalon. In 2013, he set a new course record for Ironman Brazil, and currently has his sights set on winning the sport's greatest competition, the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
